I’M BACK! After a two-year hiatus, I’m excited to reconnect with you all!

My name is Marchelle (pronounced Mar-shell) Davis, and I am the proud owner of My Sister’s Keeper Defense - formerly known as Trigger Happy Firearm Instruction. Originally from Florida and now a resident of Virginia, I am passionate about empowering women through firearm education. I am also the founder of Iron Sharpens Iron, National Range Day, and the MSKD Women’s Self-Defense Retreats.

I launched My Sister’s Keeper Defense in 2016 after recognizing a significant gap in representation within the gun community. I often observed women visiting the range where I worked, feeling uncomfortable while their partners attempted to teach them about firearms. Seeing women in that situation made me realize how vital it is for women to see themselves in these roles…because sometimes, you can’t believe in your own potential until you see someone who looks like you doing it.

My firearms journey began in the military. I served seven years in the Army National Guard and became a certified firearms instructor after leaving the military. I discovered my true passion for teaching firearm safety and self-defense while working at a local gun range in Atlanta. My ultimate goal is to empower one million women with the skills to defend themselves with firearms. I also dream of opening my nonprofit organization aimed at creating a safe, welcoming space for women to learn and grow. As a survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault, I believe it’s crucial that women feel in control of their safety. My Sister’s Keeper Defense is dedicated to elevating women, building confidence, and ensuring that no one else becomes a victim.

Together, we can change the narrative and make self-defense accessible, empowering, and inclusive for all women.
